1 Scope of Application
These General Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) govern all contracts between Hotel du Lac, Höheweg 225, 3800 Interlaken (hereinafter "the Hotel"), and the guest regarding the provision of hotel rooms and any additional services offered by the Hotel.
2 Formation of Contract
(1) The accommodation contract is concluded upon written or electronic booking confirmation by the Hotel.
(2) Bookings may be made by email, telephone or through authorised booking platforms.
(3) By making a booking, the guest confirms that they have read and accepted these T&Cs.
(4) Bookings are only binding once a valid credit card has been provided as a guarantee.
3 Prices and Payment
(1) All prices are quoted in Swiss Francs (CHF) and include VAT and tourist tax.
(2) The Hotel accepts the following payment methods:
- Credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express
- Debit card / Maestro
- Cash
- Bank transfer (IBAN: please enquire at the time of booking)
(3) Payment is due upon departure at reception, unless otherwise agreed.
(4) For payment by bank transfer, the amount must be received in the Hotel's account no later than 7 days before arrival.
4 Credit Card Guarantee
(1) A valid credit card (Visa, Mastercard or American Express) is required to secure every booking.
(2) In the event of a late cancellation or no-show, the applicable charge (see § 6) will be applied to the card provided.
5 Check-In and Check-Out
(1) Rooms are available from 15:00.
(2) Rooms must be vacated by 11:00 on the day of departure.
(3) Early check-in or late check-out may be possible subject to availability on request; additional charges may apply.
6 Cancellation Policy
(1) Free cancellation is possible up to 7 days before the arrival date.
(2) For cancellations made less than 7 days before arrival, a charge equivalent to 1 night at the booked room rate will be applied.
(3) In the event of a no-show without prior cancellation, 1 night will also be charged.
(4) Cancellations must be submitted in writing by email to info@dulac-interlaken.ch. The date of receipt by the Hotel is decisive.
(5) Different cancellation conditions may apply to group reservations; these will be specified separately in the booking offer.
7 Early Departure
In the event of early departure before the originally agreed check-out date, the Hotel reserves the right to charge the full costs agreed for the original length of stay.
8 Breakfast
(1) Breakfast is offered as a Swiss continental buffet at CHF 18.00 per person per day.
(2) Breakfast is included in certain packages; otherwise it may be booked as an optional add-on.
(3) The Hotel does not operate a restaurant for lunch or dinner.
9 Children
(1) Children up to and including 5 years of age stay free of charge (child's travel cot available on request and free of charge; breakfast free of charge; tourist tax free of charge).
(2) Children aged 6 to 15 pay CHF 30.00 per night for an additional bed and CHF 9.00 per day for breakfast.
(3) From the age of 16, the standard adult rate applies.
10 Parking
(1) The Hotel provides a car park at a price of CHF 10.00 per day.
(2) No parking spaces are available for coaches or buses.
(3) Parking spaces are allocated without a reservation guarantee and are subject to availability.
11 Pets
Pets are welcome at the Hotel at a surcharge of CHF 20.00 per night. Please inform us of your pet at the time of booking.
12 Hotel Liability
(1) The Hotel is liable for damage to items brought in by the guest in accordance with the applicable provisions of Swiss law.
(2) For valuables, the Hotel recommends use of the available storage facilities at reception.
(3) The Hotel accepts no liability for damage caused by the guest, their companions or items they have brought with them.
13 Guest Liability
The guest is liable for all damage caused by themselves, their companions or visitors to the hotel building, its furnishings or fittings.
14 House Rules
(1) Quiet hours apply from 22:00 to 07:00. Guests are asked not to disturb fellow guests during these hours.
(2) Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the hotel building. In the event of a breach, the Hotel reserves the right to charge a cleaning flat rate.
(3) The Hotel reserves the right to remove guests from the premises without refund in the event of serious misconduct.
15 Data Protection
The Hotel processes guests' personal data solely for the purpose of fulfilling the accommodation contract and complying with statutory obligations (e.g. cantonal registration requirements). Further information can be found in the Privacy Policy on our website.
16 Governing Law and Jurisdiction
(1) Swiss law applies exclusively, to the exclusion of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
(2) The place of jurisdiction is Interlaken (Canton of Bern), Switzerland, to the extent permitted by law.
